Gun violence has plagued Americans for years and created a country where people adamantly fight for either the right to own firearms without regulation or for strict regulations to be in place to control the sale and use of guns. These two sides have formed into the pro and anti sides of gun control.

 

The pro supports the implementation of some form of effective gun control that involves the banning of certain deadly firearms accessories and assault weapons. The usual supporters for the pro side are politicians, those who have been personally affected by gun violence, and those who sympathise with these groups views. The anti gun control side is supported by constitutionalist and the NRA-ILA who believe that all firearms should be legal and that by arming our citizens crime can be prevented.

 

In light of both arguments, it is hard to find a common ground that both sides can see the positives in and support. However, we must come to a conclusion soon because each day without a solution hundreds are lost to senseless violence in the form of murder and mass shootings.
